Helen is a Founder and Director of Praesidio Safeguarding. As a director, Helen leads Praesidio’s communication and liaison with platforms, regulators, governments, and NGOs. Helen is an expert on developing outreach and public education and media campaigns and strategies, and in delivering participation activities and research. Helen is a communications expert and has a particular skill and passion for designing and producing creative materials that educate and inform on online safety including video and animation to reach diverse or hard to reach audiences.
Prior to founding Praesidio, Helen founded and build the National Crime Agency CEOP’s commands international education programme (https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/) which led the UK Government’s harm reduction response to online child sexual abuse, producing materials and training courses nationwide for professionals and the public. Helen was also one of the founding members of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety and a lead for the Home Office working group on internet safety.
